Outlook 2000 Repeated Prompting for Password

When I choose Send/Receive in Outlook 2000, it repeatedly asks me for my
password. Even though, I have entered this in under properties on the
Accounts tab. On the Accounts tab, I have "remember my password" checked.
Also, each time I am prompted in Outlook when I hit send/receive, I check
"remember my password." However, it does not want to remember it. How can I
fix this?
