Outlook 2000 Problem

I have three Windows XP Pro computers with outlook 2000 sp3. All computers
have the same pop3 email account setup and are configured to store messages
on the server for 5 days. Sometimes if I open up outlook I get duplicates of
email messages with the same date and time. When I go into the task manager
and check under processes there are two Outlook.exe files running even though
one outlook window is open on my desktop. Does anybody have any suggestions
as to how I can fix this problem?

Thanks

Something may be holding Outlook open even though you think you've shut it
down. You should consider that any fax software, synch software (for a hand
held like a Palm), your AV scanning integration, Add Ins, COMs, etc. can
interfere with Outlook shut down. You can safely turn off active scanning of
your email by the AV software without compromising your security since your
real time scanner will catch anything that comes along.
