I setup exchange 2003 and we are using outlook2000(sp3).
I have my users setup in exchange.
I setup outlook2000(sp3) for exchange and it keeps asking for username
domain name and password constantly.
Please advise.
Thanks

Sound's like their machines aren't joined to the domain.... that's OK, they
don't have to be. Have the users navigate to the machine hosting Exchange in
Windows Explorer (by typing in something like \\exchangebox in the
addressbar). Windows Explorer will prompt them for a username and
password.... make sure they turn on the checkmark to "Save" the login.

Outlook thereafter will not prompt for a password.

When we had that problem I just had it prompt for a name/profile to start
with and then the boxes would fill in automatically. This option is on the
general tab on the first step for setting up a new profile.

CMM that worked great.
I modified the registry to put in the username and domain name.
Then I did you little fix and it worked just fine.
Thanks for the help.
Why Microsofty why?
