outlook 2000 freezes up

I have used Outlook 2000 with windows 98 for 2 years.
Suddenly I am unable to open Outlook 2000..when I click on
icon I get intro page showing Outlook2000 and then
computer freezes up and hourglass keeps rotating. Outlook
Express (another program) works properly. I have removed
program and reinstalled but same thing happens. All my
other programs seem unaffected. I am afraid to go into
registry to make any changes. Any ideas?

Locate the file outcmd.dat and rename or delete it.
