Outlook 200 deleting messages

For the past 2 days, when I open Outlook 2000 to check my
e-mail, no messages are downloaded even though I know for
messages were on the server waiting to be downloaded
(because I checked via webmail first). After I check my e-
mail, the messages are no longer on the server.
Has anyone seen this or heard of this? I find too many
articles by searching Microsoft because "delete messages"
is a common *intended* action. Thanks!
 
Yes, I've seen this. Check the default location for
incoming mail. It's probably set to go to a folder or some
other location other than the Inbox.
