Outlok Express/red x in square

I think I always can receive pictures in my email, but in
trying to forward them or send as an attachment, the
recipient gets a red x in a square instead of a picture.
 
Click Tools, Options, and click on the Send tab. Next in the "Mail Sending
Format" section make sure HTML is checked and then click the HTML Settings
button. Put a check in the box labeled "Send pictures with messages."

That should take care of it I believe.
