Help, I tried to restart my computer in safe mode to run a deep scan for
adware and I got a out of scan range message right before XP starts up. I've
tried rebooting and hitting F8 to restart normally, but nothing seems to be
working to get back to normal. What should I do?

Thanks

With any computer "out of scan range" means thiers a loose connection,or
youve added cables that are to long.

No, that's not correct. "Out of scan range" means you are using a video resolution that is not supported by your monitor.

Ignore it. All it means is that the monitor isn't receiving a video
signal it can display whilst WinXP is changing video modes. It's not
really a problem.

Actually it is a huge problem. I have viruses, spyware and adware up
the ying yang. The only way I can get rid of it all is to boot up in
safe mode. Every time I try I get a blank screen with "Out of Range".
I know this is an issue with my monitor or video card but I am not sure
how to get past it.

I need my computer back asap. Please help.
