Oulook not refreshing

I have various computers where outlook Inbox is not refreshing
when new messages are in. As soon as you click any folder
within outlook then they show up.
Oulook 2002 Sp3
Any thoughts?

Sounds like your firewall is blocking Outlook UDP traffic.
Exchange account?

the question begs........what exceptions are needed onthe FW config ? I
have the same problem when I have 2 folks acessing the same mailbox..I just
thought that 2 users in the same mailbox strange things like this may
happen...but if there is a known fix...lets have it ...thanks

Depends on your version of Outlook and your current FW configuration and
vendor. Create a general exception for Outlook and see if it works then.
From there use the options of your FW to close things down as far as you
