OT: MS Photo Upload Tool - Searching for Help

R

Rick Miller

The photo upload tool is used by MS in both the online Communities and with Spaces.

I have not been able to upload photos to either of those products since about December last year...may co-incidental with my upgrade to Media Center Edition 2005.

I've asked for help from MS and they report it is a known problem but do not respond to requests for an answer on when it will have a solution.

The problem is when I try to upload a photo to either application I get the following dialogue: "You have a new image format in this folder. The converter is downloading"

I am looking for a News Group or a Community where I can discuss this or anyone else experiencing the problem, or someone with advice to help me solve.

Thanks,

Thats strange, I have been using the Photo-Uploading tool since MSN Space
launched along side MSAS Beta 1 since it was launched in January and have
not experienced any problems since. Are you sure this is not a problem
associated with the Windows Firewall or a thirdparty firewall installed on
your computer?

Yes I am reasonably sure it is not a firewall issue. I've tried turning off
all security. I use McAfee. And by the way this problem only exists on
this PC. I can upload successfully from my laptop.
