OT--battery charging Inspiron 2200

Lately I have gotten in the habit of doing the following:

Using the Inspiron 2200 in the evening on battery power. When I'm done I
will then plug it in to recharge the battery.

This means laptop is hot when I start the recharge process. Am I causing
problems for myself by doing it this way. Should I wait until it cools down
before charging the battery (that would be inconvenient for me, but then
again I don't want to fry anything).

No problem. Go ahead, you'll be fine.
