Charging very very very slowly

hi, i plug in my ac adaptor to my laptop but it does not charge... like not
even the charging light comes on, i have a dell inspiron 8200. It will kind
of charge but it takes like 2 months to charge both batteries, if anyone kows
how to fix it tellme how. the light only blinks once it is fully charged

Batteries are dying? Connector mangled? Charging ckt gone bad? Check the
power settings and see if there are any hints there.

This has nothing to do with XP or any other OS.

It's a hardware issue related to parts of the charging circuits, including
the batteries and the adapter and parts of the main board.

There's probably a utility with your laptop that displays the condition of
the batteries; they may need replacing. If the system runs off the adapter
with the batteries removed, the adapter is probably fine.

If it's the charging circuit on the board... that can mean replacement
board. You need to talk to Dell about that.

Make a note of the service tag number on the bottom of the laptop and talk
to Dell support.
