Battery charging control

I am also having a charging problem. However, system worked ok untill updated
to SP2. Computer sees battery and charge leverl. Icon in lower corner
changes from AC icon to battery icon, but although "charge" light on computer
comes on, icon in taskbar never changes to "charging". Could this be a
problem with the ACPI power management system, or is the charging system
controlled by something in the BIOS and only reported by WinXP?

My computer is not charging at all though the AC power is on. The critical
signal is blinking as to the battery being very low.

Anyone can help me out here?

Hi,

Could be a bad charger or a faulty wire from the charger to the
computer. If there's a changing light on the computer that normally
comes on when the it is charging, wiggle the wire and see if that light
come one at all. The weakness is normally where it connects into the
computer.
