Ordinal 939 error

M

molly

I upgraded my OS from Window 98 to Win XP Home. My
Outlook 2000 no longer works. When I try to repair it
from the Office 2000 CD, it says that the needed file is
not on it. I've searched the CD and the necessary file
is on there.

I searched MS for the problem and it was said delete the
dat files, I searched but, I couldn't find them. Then,
it said to rename the MS09.ddl to MS09.old and to
repair. I did that and it still does no work.

Can anyone help me!!! :)

This is the error message "The ordinal 939 could not be
located in the dynamic link library MSO9.DLL".

Thank you,

Molly

Molly,

Based on what you've tried so far, it sounds like you found this article.
Correct?

329927 OL2000: Error Message: Ordinal 939 Could Not Be Located in Mso9.dll
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=329927

Try following the steps of that article one more time, but this time also
delete outllib.dll. I found an instance where deleting both mso9.dll and
outllib.dll resolved, then doing detect/repair resolved the same error for
another customer.

Assuming the above doesn't work, post back and I'll give you detailed
instructions what to try next (an aggressive removal of Office, which is why
I want you to try this first).
