Hi Guys,

I need to re-install IE 6 SP2 () but I don't seem to see anything on the
Microsoft website specifically aimed at re-installing IE 6 SP2 (only stull
about re-installing SP2) - does anyone know a way to JUST re-install IE 6 SP2
without having to completely re-install SP2?

Thanks.

Hi Jig :)

Not sure exactly what you want, but, check the information here:

Make sure your anti-virus is turned off.

How to Reinstall or Repair Internet Explorer and Outlook Express in Windows
XP
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378
If you have SP2, follow the instuctions in the SP2 section:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318378#XSLTH3130121123120121120120

The section
Windows XP and Windows XP SP1: Edit the registry and install Internet
Explorer 6 works on earlier versions of Windows.

Hope this helps.

Hi,
Butting in.... [Hi Jan]
Was SP2 installed as an update or is your Windows CD new enough that it
contains XP SP2?

Question 2... Is this an OEM machine (Compaq, HP, Dell, etc.) which came
with a "restore disk" as opposed to a full Windows XP disk?

Question 3... What problems are you having? Reinstalling Internet Explorer
isn't the fix for most IE problems.
