Option to include/exclude a pop3 account during the receive operation

Does anyone know why MS excluded this option in Outlook
XP??

I have mulitple POP3 accounts, and specifically do not
want to Send/Receive email from one account, but it has
been "missed out" of XP from 2000.

Can anyone help please?

You can have an account not poll for messages, it's in the Send Receive
Settings from the Tools menu.

Tools > Send Receive Setting > Define Send Receive >

I wasn't aware of that option.
