Optial wheel microsoft mouse

How the heck do I "remove" the red ball in the first place to facilitate cleaning? I pull on it, but nothing budges and I see no easy way to remove it - heleleleleppppp!

I don't know what you mean. There is no ball in a optical mouse.

Just blow out the crumbs and cat fur with some "compressed air"
available at any computer store. Use a small sable brush if you have
one. Q-tip. Do not use an ice pick or screw driver.
