Opinions please: Canon 5000F vs Epson 1670

I am torn between the Canon 5000F ($150 CDN) and the Epson 1670 ($140 CDN)
for a scanner purchase. Which should I go for? Thanks.

I gave up on the 5000F it does not work reliably using USB 2.0 I'd get a
couple of scans then all sorts of problems lockups, drivers lost, enough to
drive you mad, it worked fine with USB 1.1 but I wanted the speed, The Canon
support was absolutely useless, they just wanted me to keep reinstalling the
software/drivers.
I won't buy another

strange... it must be the SAME support as for the Canon-Printers... i've
heard "install the newest drivers" more than once too :-/

It's a looped message - doesn't matter what part of Canon you deal
with, the answer is always to the drivers <g>

*LOL* ... yes... and if not, the solution is to reinstall Windows. If it's
not working then, just update the BIOS and Chipset driver *ROTFL*... i
think i will go to work for canon-hotline now ;-)
