balck image from CanoScan

Hello,

I have a CanoScan 5000F Scanner. Recently, the resulting images, when
filing documents in .pdf format, have either been black when the set on
a color setting or dark green when in a black and white mode.
Mechanically the scanner seems to function ok. The locking mechanism is
unlocked. I also have the latest drivers and scangear software from the
Canon site installed.

I would appreciate any help/advice with this problem.

What are you scanning, and what software are you scanning into? Windows or
Mac, and what OS?

What do you mean by "filing documents"?

Your "color setting" - is that in in scanner driver software, or some other
software?

You'll have to provide more information, optimally a detailed description of
your workflow.
