Vuescan with Canoscan 3200F

Hi All,

I am using Vuescan Pro v7.6.80 and Canoscan 3200F.

When I attempt to initiate scan with Vuescan I get the message "No
input found" and cannot detect my scanner.

The scanner is connected via USB cable and the Canon s/w has been
installed and working.

The possible problems listing the Vuescan release notes for Win XP are
no help.

A couple of settings :

Input|Scan Task|Scan to File
Input|Scan Mode|Flatbed

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance.

Your scanner is not supported by the version of Vuescan you are using
(v7.6.80)
When using Vuescan you need to stay up to date with all the new
releases that come about. Vuescan is up to version 8.1.5 and this
will support your scanner. Go to the vuescan web page, read up, and
down load the latest version.

I'm not sure what you mean by that, but as a general statement that isn't
true. If you have a working combination of scanner, computer and Vuescan
(and a good setup), there is no need to change it by replacing Vuescan with
the latest edition.

Thanks David.

I upgraded to v 8.1.5 and all is well.

Great. Now and then I do say the right thing. Keep looking for more
updates to Vuescan.
