Operating system

I would like to know if anyone have any advise for someone who wants to
remove and reinstall the operating system on a pc..i have windows xp.

Your question would be answered better if you mentioned why you wanted to

Thanks for the response. I want to remove and reinstall the operating system
because i had a virus which affected the operating system. I removed the
virus but since then windows still is not working right. meaning that
sometimes when I turn on the laptop, i get an error message telling me that
windows is not responding and will be shut down.

Boot from the XP CD and tell the setup program to format the drive and
install XP.
