Well said. Why would anyone want to subject themselves to those kind
of people. I'm sure a lot of them are pretty nice, but that's just a
guess since I never encounter them. Even the VMS community is orders
of magnitude better.

What's great about Linux is the community help networks. However, they can
also be a pain if you happen to dissagree with some of the almost
fanatical purist ideas that you are expected to be lived by....unless!!!
To me an OS is not part of a beleif system. It's something I rely on to do
work. It's like a drill, a chain saw, a stove. They enable me to do home
improvement, trim trees or cook dinner. An OS enables me to run software,
free software even, and get the job done.

Geesh, I'm such a boring pragmatic at times.... :)
