Which program are you using to open pictures? If it is Microsoft Office
Picture Manager search for the file *.cag. Open this file with a text editor
(make sure you do not make this the default program for opening .cag files);
then delete any paths to folders that no longer exist or you don't have
access to on your computer or network. Save the file and open Microsoft
Office Picture Manager; it should be much faster opening.

I am using std consumer xp and over time the lag time has increased after I click on my pictures icon. I do not use microsoft office mgr.
