Opening Excell changes computor resolution

Each time I open an Excell worksheet, using Office 2000, Window XP Home
Edition, my computor resolution changes to 600 X 800. I change to back to 1024 X 768, click apply and ok. Then, the next time I open an Excell worksheet it changes again.
