Hi,

In the recent past - some setting must have been triggered in my IE v6 installation that is resulting in newly opened windows to be minimized. In other words, when I do something on a web page that opens another browser window - that new window is always minimized. For awhile, I didn't even see it on my screen and thought that IE was unresponsive. I maximize the window to see if the setting will "stick" the next time I do the same thing. Alas - no. I have tried to go into The Tools-->Internet Options menu to find the setting with no luck. Funny enough - similar things are happening with my Microsoft Word. Any ideas?

Thx in advance...Steve

Open to the small window>close all others.
Right-click on its button on the Taskbar and click Move and use your
keyboard arrows to
get the tiny window out into the middle of your screen so you have some
elbow room. Then click Size and use your keyboard arrows to get it to a
usable size. Finally, use your arrow keys, or drag it, to stretch it to
suit yourself.
After making sure that NO !! other IE windows are open, close this one last
so
that IE will remember this size for next time.

I'm having the same problem..

Use Cascade Windows to refresh the normal window attributes
of those applications. (E.g. right-click on the Taskbar)
Then resize as desired the last open instance of each application window.
After you close those windows their sizes will become the default sizes for
the next windows you open.

Note: if you prefer to have a pseudo maximized normal mode window
use one of the Taskbar's Tile... commands. Minimize or close all other
open windows; then "tiling" the one that remains causes it to fill the display
area.
