Opening and Saving attachments...

I can not open or save any attachments. When I double click or select right
click open, it doesn't do anything. When I select right click save as a box
pops up having me name the file and select the location, when I click save I
get the "command failed to exceute for attachments" I have read some of the
other posts that suggest just saving the attachment, but that isn't even
working for me. To my knowledge I do not have any anti-virus software. Last
week I uninstalled Norton (which came with my computer) do to a similar issue
with internet explorer. When I went to download something on explorer, the
box would just disappear and nothing happen, same thing when I went to save
it. So I started using Mozilla Firefox and haven't had that problem again.
Could these two issues be related? Oh, and I made sure the box not allowing
attachments under the security tab was unchecked. Any help is greatly
appreciated! Thanks!
 
When you uninstalled Norton did you go to their site and get their software
removal tool? If not I highly recommend it. I had that problem months ago
and was not able to fix it until I got the removal tool from the Norton
site.
