Opening a JPG in a new IE browser

Hi all,
I am on windows2000 professional SP4. I have few IE6
window open and few other applications running. When I do
a double-click on a JPG or JPEG file ( to open), it uses
the browser already open and doesnot open a new browser.

What and where can be set so that when opening a JPG or
JPEG file, it should always open in a new browser window
no matter how many IE window is open. How is this possible?

any inputs would be appreciated a lot...

thanks in advance,
Abhi

Check for any pop up stopper utilities stopping the new window from opening.
Also bear in mind that some firewall and anti virus applications also have
stoppers. Do you have either the Google or Yahoo search toolbar, because
these also have pop up stoppers in them.

Finally, check in IE Tools/Internet Options and go to the Advanced tab.
Under the browsing section check that the "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts" is NOT ticked.

Hope this helps.

That was it. Though I didnot have yahoo or google toolbar,
unchecking 'reuse windows....' suggestion worked.

Thank you Martin.
