Opened file from IE into Word - Now the File is Gone

I accidentally opened a file from a website using IE 6 instead of saving it.
It opened in Word and I added text to it. I saved the document every few
minutes. When I finished working with the document I closed Word. Now I
can't find the document. I have tried searching my computer for .doc and
..txt files, but none of them are my document. I even searched the temporary
internet file folder. I saved this document repeatedly - where could it have
gone?

Open the document from the web site again and choose save as DO NOT SAVE IT!
It should offer to save it in the temporary folder that you saved to before.
See if it already exists in that folder. The problem is that the temporary
location is just that 'temporary' and may no longer exist.
