open with what application?

I purchased a refurbishes dell laptop and a tech. put
windows 2000 on it for me. The problem is...all I am
trying to do is pay for something online through pay pay.
(which I did all
the time on my other computer) but I get the message "open
with" and I dont know which to choose.I think it is a LST
file. It is only a document I have to open I dont have
many applications to choose from. So, do I need to
download something to "open
with"? This happens alot when I get email with an
attachment that needs to be opened. but, I cant open it
because I dont think I have the program on here to open
with. Very easy problem.......but driving me nuts!!! help

Not certain, but I think you need Notepad.

If that doesn't do it, try Internet Explorer. It's not
just for web pages. Many don't know IE6 also views JPEG
photos and other picture formats as well.
(If you're not up to IE version 6, you really ought to
upgrade, since too many viruses are written for the older
versions.)
