open new window

Everytime i open a new window, so i can go to other
sites, it closes the one i'm using therefore losing what
i currently have.I cant even hit the back button.
example: i'm currently using seaking help here at
microsoft, and when i'd like to search at yahoo, it
closing the window of microsoft, replacing a new window
with the www.yahoo.com which i typed.
Please help.

Try Control Panel>IE Options>Advanced tab>Scroll downward to
Browsing>Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts>Apply>OK out.

Might also try:
Hold shift key (or is it Ctrl key...?; I've forgotten now. *grin*) and
clicking the link.
