whenever i do 'open in new window' by right-mousing on a
link in IE, it opens a new window but as a tiny minimized
1-2 inch long bar. then i have to click on the maximize
button EVERY time and it's rather annoying ...

any ideas how to fix?

thanks in advance,
betty

I think I have solved it in my case.

Click on the tab of the page that will not open

In my case the page trys to open but all I get
is a very very small speck.

Click on the tab again and watch out for the speck.

Once you have located it on your screen
carefully move your cursor on it.

When you find it the cursor canges into two arrows

You can then resize the window.

Hope yours is the same as mine

I just called my PC tech help (Dell) and they helped me
fix it.

my browser was opening as a small two inch long bar with
the maximize button on it. the fix was so simple, i felt
stupid. but sometimes microsoft software functions
aren't too intuitive.

apparently, you have to:

1. open IE

2. right mouse click and do an open new window

3. the tiny bar opens. cursor over the edge of the bar
and a diagonal double-sided arrow appears.

4. using this arrow, drag open the window as far as it
opens from both corners. then once it's practically
maximized, click on the maximize button in the upper
right corner.

5. close the original window

6. close the new window

7. open a new IE window and see if you're problem has
been fixed.

8. if so, as usual, it's best to reboot your machine to
make sure changes have been taken.

i have no clue why this all of a sudden started happening
to begin with but this fixes it for me. i guess it just
resets it in IE to remember the default size of new
opened windows.

good luck!
), bc.
