Open Excel 2007 files in Excel 2003

I have dowloaded the Microsoft Conversion pack and Compatability pack but I
still can't open files from 2007 in 2003. When I double click on the file it
opens excel, but excel comes up with a warning that it doesn't recognize the
file extension.

Hi,
Change the extension of the file to xls first.
However you will find that maybe some of the macros won't work since 2007
functionallity is a bit difference to the 2003 ones
