open a drive

hello every one :
Can someone help in this matter. when I click an icon drive at my computer it
do not open but it shows the window of open with to select a program to open
with. at the same time when I right click on the drive the menu appears
starting with Auto and then open how can I change this order and make the
drive open when double clicking its icon.

Thank you for your respond . I searched for AUTORUN.INF in the c drive and
did not find any.

When you right-click the drive, what is at the top of the list in bold
letters is the default action when double-clicking on the drive. Don't
know where 'Auto' came from, but you can try this:

Copy the text below between the dotted lines, but not the dotted lines
themselves. Open Notepad and paste it in. Save the result in a
suitable location as drives.reg - making sure that the default .txt
extension doesn't appear in the file name.
Double-click on the saved .reg file to merge the contents.
Restart.

hello there :
now I formated the c drive and reinstall win xp and c drive is working good.
the other drives is as follows
d drive did not find autorun.inf
e,f,g,h,i drives I found autorun.inf as a hidden file .
so what can I do now

Thank you your repley was a great help.
the c drive is working good, and after removing the autorun.inf files from
the rest drives and restart , now everything is ok and the computer is
working ok as normal
