Open 2003 chart in 2007.......title font all screwed up

Powerpoint 2007 is really starting to "upset" me. Everytime I open up a 2003
chart deck, the title font is all hosed up. It looks like it's all squished
together so instead of a sentence with 5 to 6 words, I see what looks like a
block of characters all squished together.

Anyone else seen this? I checked the font it comes in as and it's Ariel
Black (Headings). When I change the font type to just plain Ariel I can read
it fine, but I shouldn't have to go through 20+ slides (many decks have 60+)
just so I can read the title !!!

Is it too much to ask that Powerpoint 2007 work smoothly with 2003 or
2000??? I completely understand about downward compatiability.........but
UPWARD ?????!!!!!

If anyone has a suggest fix.......I'm all ears.

Hi Michael

I'm afraid I haven't got a reason for this happening but I do have a
suggestion and a work around:
Suggestion: make sure you have a local colour printer driver (even if there
is no colour printer attached) as this seems to sort out all sorts of weird &
wonderful behaviour
Work around: If that doesn't help use home->editing->replace->replace fonts
to replace arial black with plain old arial on all slides.

Hope that helps

What Lucy suggested. But also, verify that Arial Black is, in fact, installed
on the PC. (Control Panel, Fonts).
