Powerpoint Graphs Font Distortion

L

LindaH144

When I open a graph (making changes or not), when it is closed, the fonts
(axis and display labels) appear distroted, bolder and stretched / squished /
thicker. Nothing I do can then fix the chart. I have checked that all auto
settings both on and off and all are now off (e.g. autoscaling, etc.) To fix,
I send the same document to another computer and all the user has to do is
open and close the graph and the fonts are fixed. I do hundreds of graphs
and this is a real issue. (Powerpoint 2003). Have downloaded all updates,
checked all versions of all software, etc.

Hope someone has some ideas. Thanks. Regards, Linda

Hi Linda144,
I have just had the exact problem you described. The fix for me was to
install the latest graphics card driver. I downloaded mine from the Dell web
site, but I guess there will be a similar site for your own computer.

I installed the updated driver, rebooted, and hey presto, the presentation
worked on my computer correctly.

I hope this helps.

Absolutely spot on, it is a wide screen monitor, which of course ties in with
the positng made by Steve. I hadn't made the connection initially.

Worked for me!
Updated Intel GMA from v. 6.14.10.3889 to 6.14.10.4396 - problem solved.

Thanks!
