Only one speaker is working

Hi everyone:

I just purchased a new Toshiba notebook and I happen to notice that only one
speaker (the left one) is working. I have tried volume control, balance, etc.
nothing works. Any ideas?

Ok Diana if the speakers have seperate connectors I suggest you swap them
over and see if it is the speaker at fault or your computer?

Most laptops have internal speakers, which have the connections "buried" in
the laptop casing. Therefore, it seem that this is a hardware issue where the
speakers are defective. Check with Toshiba hardware Tech support, since this
a new Toshiba unit, you have a warranty.
