question about speakers

ok i clicked on the
pc speaker balance
there is nothing muted
all volume shows the volume
except for the speakers
it is not muted
but i cant get my speakers to turn on
i cant get my volume to go up or down
it stays in one spot
it says
no audio devise on it
you cant click it to turn on or anything
the others ones work just not that page
or the default devise
it is very light and not bright to click on like the others ones are
if you can help me in anyway
that would be great
i just dont have any volume at all
when i click the up or down
it stays where its at but cant hear anything
i have went into everything i know to go into
and nothing seems to help it

Select the Volume tab and use the slider bar to change device volume. Make
sure Mute is not selected. Place a check mark in the Place volume icon in the
taskbar check box.

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight all the sound devices,
Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers
again automatically.
