can't send emails

When I create a new email and try to send it I get this message every time.
"One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found."
I have the box in the HTML Settings that says "Send pictures with messages"
ckecked and in the security tab under "Virus Protection" I have Internet
zone (less secure, but more functional) checked and in "Downloading Images" I
unchecked that box that says "Block images and other external content in HTML
email"

I'm attaching pictures that I have saved on my machine (.jpg files)
When I hit send I still get, "One or more of the pictures in this message
could not be found." Why is this happening and how can this issue be fixed? I
know my pictures exist because I saved them on the harddrive. If this is
some kinda bug in Windows Mail, then I'll just go download Mozilla
Thunderbird. >.<

Please clarify. Read your first sentence again and tell us if you really
mean this message appears "Every Time" or "Every Time I try try to send
a picture", because if the first is true then you may have a message
"Stuck" in your outbox. This is a different problem and you'll get
better answers quicker if we can get the exact problem.

Please post back if you find the solution, it helps others. Thanks.

picture with message. Cick. your done. Of corse mmake sure you dont have pic

Try WM Tools - Options - Send tab - section titled "Mail Sending Format" -
HTML is selected - click HTML Settings button - check "Send pictures with
messages".

I was having this issue, and just solved it by trial and error. I was
trying to create an email with background image, background sound, and
embedded pictures.....it gave me the exact error text that you mention, so I
assumed something was wrong with the picture.....not so I eventually found.

My problem was with the background sound file (an mp3) being too large.
Apparently there is a size limitation on each object that you embed, so it
could conceivably be a real picture that is too large.....just bear in mind
that the error message will _say_ picture even if it is sound that is too
large, and that it will _say_ it cannot be found even with the issue is with
the size of the object and not whether it can find it or not.

So I used cooledit to reduce (downsample) the size of the sound file. Once
it was small enough in bytes, the message went through with no issues.
