"One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found."

When I create a new email and try to send it I get this message every time.
"One or more of the pictures in this message could not be found."
I have the box in the HTML Settings that says "Send pictures with messages"
ckecked and in the security tab under "Virus Protection" I have Internet
zone (less secure, but more functional) checked and in "Downloading Images" I
unchecked that box that says "Block images and other external content in HTML
email"

I'm attaching pictures that I have saved on my machine (.jpg files)
When I hit send I still get, "One or more of the pictures in this message
could not be found." Why is this happening and how can this issue be fixed? I
know my pictures exist because I saved them on the harddrive. If this is
some kinda bug in Windows Mail, then I'll just go download Mozilla
Thunderbird. >.<

Make sure the images you are attaching are not open in
another program.

Well, I don't know of any other reason why you would get that error message.
Make sure the place on the hard drive where the pictures are is under your
profile, somewhere under C:\Users\YourUserName\...

Hey Brenda and Dwaggie67,

I'm using Vista Windows Mail, too. Not sure if this will help or not but
you cannot have the image you are trying to embed open anywhere when you are
sending the image in Windows Mail. To make sure I get my images embedded, I
first click on the email's "file save" and it goes to my drafts folder.
From the drafts folder, I double click on that email to open it and check my
"source" tab to make sure my images were embedded by looking at the "cid:"
code that was assigned. Then click on the "send" message button from the
drafts folder. Remember, you cannot have the image open anywhere when you
"save" to your drafts folder.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I just downed and installed smiley central and made sure I was using
"Rich Text" and sent a smiley to myself and it worked. Didn't even have to
first save to my drafts folder. Maybe your email wasn't in rich text but
rather plain text? Just trying to help.

Have you installed IE8? Was it working before IE8? Of so uninstall IE8.
As yet MS have not bothered to fix numerous issues.

So... I have a solution!
You can't right click & paste images.

Have your email message open.
You have to have your cursor on the email where you want image to go...
Then go up to TOP menu:
INSERT & PICTURE (from wherever your image source is).
DADA!

Hope that helps.

Yes indeed, hey are remodeling at work and it's been hectic, and I was
also putting in some long days at another facility, and there have been
things to do at home I can't really explain here.
