Old windows 2000 look in windows xp

Hello,

We have roaming profiles and we are now migrating from windows 2000 to
windows xp. So far so good, but when a user logs in in windows xp it does not
show the 'nice' xp layout but a sort of old windows 2000 look.

How can this be changed ?

it won't show the same themes for a roaming profile in w2k and wxp as the
concept of theming is different in both windows . windows xp uses visual
styles to apply themes which are absent in windows 2000. so if u want to
have xp style look u would need to have xp installed on all systems where xp
is used.

Thx for the answers!
How can you stop this service ??
I don't know if it is a possible solution for our problem ...

Ok, maybe the xp look isn't 'nice', but at least it looks a little bit more
sophisticated when you have a P4 with a pretty good graphics card.

Is it something that is set with a variable in the profile settings
(ntuser.dat ?) when a user has entered windows 2000 once ?
