Howdy all,

How does one get about the issue of having to recieve em before sending? I
think some isp regard this as a problem. I never really had too much of a
problem with it in OL2000 but since building new machine with XP Pro and
OL2003 it happens more often. I will get message from the "System
Admininstrator" (thats myself in this case) that the maill could not be
delivered. Then I have to move that message back to the inbox, recieve all
mail, then resend the message.

Is there a way of dealing with this?

Using pop/smtp

TIA,
Rob

There's a setting for that in OL2003. Go to the Tools menu > Email accounts
command > View/Change email accounts > Click Next > Highlight your account >
Click Change > Click More Settings > Outgoing Server tab > Select Logon to
incoming mail server before sending

Vince,

Thanks. I thought we were on to something till I went there and I had
already set it like that.

What else can it be?

I doesn't happen on my ISP mail account which is in/out on the same mail
server..its only happening on the one I have set to come in on ISP and out
on my webserver...do I have something mucked up there ya think?

Rob

....and it seems to want to send it from the wrong account not the account I
have set as the Default.

never mind I figured it out...alll my email accounts need to be set that
way.
seems to be working ok now.
