Ok i installed new version of Direct X

this new version of direct X does not work with my my programs that i want to
run so i want to install directX 9.1c but it wont let me since i have the
new version already installed and that is no way to remove it

DirectX 9.0c is installed with SP2.
DirectX 9.0c is the latest supported version.
What do you think you have?
