Offline JavaApplets don't work anymore due to ms-update

You can find a JavaApplet here. http://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm
There is a downloadlink below that applet which provides a file that allows
to run the calculator offline with an html and jar file.
The problem is it doesnt't work anymore and i cannot figure out a solution
but it did work until MS restricted java environment by a security update. I
tweaked Zone0, internet zone and IE settings without success (always red x).
Anyone know how to get applets running offline now? You can take any other
JavaApplet as well to test and start it like in the html file.

WinXP SP2
IE6

It may help if you specified what you tried with your "tweaks".

E.g. I imagine you may need from Options, Advanced tab, Security section
Allow active content to run in files on My Computer

However, I have no interest in testing to find out what else might be needed.

Good luck
