I installed Office 97 on a Dell XP Home laptop. It then consistently
fell over with a BSOD requiring a restart.
Ive done a system restore to go back before I tried to install
Office97, but it still BSOD's
any way to fix it ?

Hi,

What does the BSOD say? Is a dump file being created? Sometimes this can be
used to diagnose the problem.

If you boot to Safe mode and uninstall Office97 (which, by the way, works
fine in WinXP), does the BSOD stop occuring on a normal boot?

How to start in Safe mode:
