Office2002 issue on Win ME

I've had office installed for awhile but now when I try to
open one of the programs I get a message that says ...
Program (Excel, word) has not been installed for the
current user. please run setup to install the
application. Only one user has ever been on this computer
so I don't why this would come up. What can I do to fix
this?
