I created a custom style for a document and saved it as a new style. Then I
closed the document and saved the changes to the global template. Now, every
blank document I create has that new saved style like it was installed with
the original software. How do I remove the style from the Word blank document
so it wll be gone from the style group permanently ?

Use the Organizer dialog box to delete the style from the Normal template.

To access the dialog box, you can do the following: In the Styles pane
(Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S), click the Manage Styles button; in the dialog box, click
the Import/Export button. Alternatively, click the Organizer button in the
Macros dialog box (which you can display by pressing Alt+F8).
