Office Update

Hi, Gurus,
I am trying to apply Office update service pack 1 to my office xp
installation, and each time I try I get so far and then this message
appears:
Error 1328: Error applying patch to file
C:\Config.Msi\PTD3.tmp. It has probably been updated by other means, and can
no longer be modified by this patch.
The PTD3 part changes each time, but still remains fairly similar.
I had a look at the Microsoft Support website, but it's written in a
language that I don't understand!
Can anyone give me a laymans explanation of how to get my Office XP
up-to-date? Should I try and get each individual update instead of all those
bunched up together?
Thanks in anticipation,
Ed
The versions of major parts of office are as follows:
Shortcut Bar: 10.2609.2625
Access: 10.2616.2625
Excel: 10.2614.2625
Frontpage: 10.2623.2625
PPT: 10.2623.2625
Word: 10.2627.2625
Outlook: 10.2627.2625

Sounds like you've got a non-retail or promotional copy of office. The only
way is to do an Admin upgrade.
