Office Suite Needed For Mac

I'd recommend Libre Office:

I've not used it on Mac, but I've used it on Windows and Linux and it works really well
. It's able to open anything you throw at it and is great as an every-day office suite.

I have acquired a Mac and wondered if anyone could recommend a free Office Suite. I have a very limited knowledge of Linux systems but I hope to improve this situation soon.

No, it was given to me and that's how it came. I know nothing about Macs or Apple stuff. Is it likely to have some sort of Apple Office Suite on it? It's all new to me.

I was just messin with you mate. Apple stuff is linux based but quite different in a lot of ways.

Ian's suggestion of Libre Office is a good choice. As good as any Windows office, cross platform and free.
