Office standard for students vs. not

In an attempt to be honest, my family is debating whether
or not we can purchase the Office standard package for
students and teachers instead of the more expensive
version. Our main computer is the only one connected to
the internet so is used by everyone at various times. It
is the computer we want to update with the Word package.
Our children, the 'students,' have older computers on
which they do most of their homework - both already have
Word. What do you think? Thanks - Amy

Why would there be a debate in your mind ? Buy the cheaper
one, you qualify, buy it !!!!!!!!!!

The EULA for Office XP Standard for Students and Teachers restricts the
installation to one computer and use to the students. Microsoft can only
track the number of installations.

If you are not in a rush, you may want to Oct 21 when Office 2003 Standard
for Students and Teachers is released. The EULA for Office 2003 Standard ST
will allow installation on up to three computers and use by anyone in the
family for non-commercial purposes.
