Microsoft XP Standard for Students & Teachers

I have recently upgraded from Windows 98 to Windows XP Home. Now when I want to get a document, it asks for me to put in the disc for Microsoft OfficeXP Standard for Students and & Teachers. I don't have this, so I have to go through several other steps to get to my documents. Is there any way around this?

why dont you have the disk? If you bought it then you should have the disk.
Pehaps if you lost it you can ask microsoft for a replacement

Hi,

Have you tried a repair install of your copy of OfficeXP yet? Of course, you
would need your OfficeXP disk - do you know where it is? Did you realize
that you will need it for some repair jobs?

Rick, I finally found you. You need to come and visit the microsoft.public.win98.gen_discussion newsgroup and come to say hello. FYI, Office XP was the last office that runs on 98SE and if you want Office 2003 then you must use XP or 2000.

Hey Art,

Now see here, I wasn't hiding. In fact, my last post to that group stated
quite clearly where I was going - to the dark side <g>. Anyhow, yes, I know
that OXP is the last Office version supported in Win98, but this looks like
a case of "I lost my disk and never replaced it, but now I need it - what do
I do?".

Time to buy Office now that you got used to using the freebie you got,
and now have all
your stuff done in the MS way.

Office is not part of Windows. If you had it in Win98 you will need to
use the media you used to install this package originally and install it
again.

Very true :> and it is noble of you to use some of your time to help others in need for free. :>
