Excel Combining Field Name and Value in report row

Hi:

I have an Excel sheet that lists in columns GRADE, STUDENT NAME, PRIZE 1, PRIZE 2, PRIZE 3, PRIZE 4, PRIZE 5, ETC THROUGH PRIZE 20. The prizes are for a contest, and they can earn more than one of each level prize. I need to be able to summarize the data so that I can print a list for each teacher that includes their students and a clear list of how many of each prize each student is entitled to. I can either do this in Excel or Access but after spending much time, I'm still not any closer to getting it done. Any clear ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Have you tried putting the data in a table in Excel and applying filters so you can sort the fields?
